Announcing an Anthology of Community Theatre Plays
Theatre Ontario is pleased to partner with Playwrights Canada Press to publish an anthology of plays that have premiered at Ontario's community theatres, and written by Ontario playwrights. The anthology will be launched at the 2011 Theatre Ontario Festival.

A clarification...
ReplyDeleteGuideline #6 says that we are looking for plays "suitable for mature performers". This does not mean that all roles must be adult, nor that the content must be adult. Some chiildren in the cast is perfectly acceptable and welcome. Family-oriented content is welcome. We are, however, trying to avoid plays intended primarily for children's audiences or for youth groups. Perhaps an anthology for such plays could be a future project of Theatre Ontario & Playwrights Canada Press. For now, we are hoping to produce an anthology of plays that were premiered by Community Theatres as part of their regular season for subscribers or for adult or mixed audiences.
